It’s not just a tote bag

It’s not just a drawing, a shape, an embroidery, or an idea that we put down on paper.

It’s an entire world that my team, my partner, and I have created.

A playground where we can imagine, experiment, and start over. A space where we can work hand in hand with artisans who have years of experience behind them, with skills they have learned, perfected, and passed down.

And then, for me, it is also a way of reconnecting with my roots.

For the past year and a half that I have been living here, I have been rediscovering a part of my culture through the people around me. People with whom I share a history, a land, and a part of myself that I perhaps knew less about before coming to live among them.

Creating in this environment has changed the way I see things.

And then, one day, looking back and realizing that perhaps, without really planning it, we are building something here.

A place where we feel surrounded. Where we work together. Where we share.

And perhaps even, without really planning it, beginning to build a family with these people who enrich us with their intelligence, their creativity, their stories, and their lives.

Creating is complicated.

We wonder whether people will like it. We wonder whether what we imagine will find its place. Because creating requires money, resources, and time. It also requires sacrifices.

For me, it has meant being far from my family, far from my life in France, far from the country I love so much and where I grew up.

But leaving one place for another is also a way of growing.

It’s about discovering. It’s about learning.

And then, one day, looking back and realizing that perhaps, without really planning it, we are building something here.

A place where we feel surrounded. Where we work together. Where we share.

And perhaps even, without really planning it, beginning to build a family with these people who enrich us with their intelligence, their creativity, their stories, and their lives.

And so, little by little, one thing became clear

We want to embroider.

We want to draw.

We want to crochet.

We want to take our time.

We no longer want to produce simply to go faster, produce more, and consume more.

We want to do things differently.

To take the time to create. To take the time for the craft. To take the time to do things with care.

We have chosen the human hand over the machine.

Because a hand-embroidered piece is never quite the same. Because a human touch leaves something behind. A different tension in the thread, a slight irregularity, a way of bringing a motif to life that is unique to each artisan.

And that is precisely the part we love.

We want to create something you won’t find anywhere else.

Something that truly comes from us.

Something that comes from the gut.

Because when you reach that place, something changes.

You no longer ask yourself: “Will people like it?”

You simply think:

Wow.

I am so proud of the people I work with.

I am proud of our design.

It is beautiful.

It is really well made.

It is high quality.

And, in the end, maybe that is all that matters.

We look for the right words. The right images. The right light.

We try to show you what we saw.

To capture those hours spent working on a detail. Those moments when we stop and look at a finished piece. Those eyes lighting up when a motif finally takes the shape we had imagined.

And then there are all the questions we ask ourselves along the way.

Will this bag really be practical?

Will it be big enough?

Will it be comfortable to carry?

Will it be able to accompany us throughout an entire day?

Because behind every piece, there is also a woman like me.

A woman who carries her life with her every day. Her laptop, her belongings, a thousand little things she needs. A woman who wants something practical, but who doesn’t want to choose between beauty and function.
